The boys swim team defeated Nauset 97-68 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Leading the way for the Trojans was senior captain Nathan Kramer winning the 200 & 500 freestyle while qualifying for states in each event. Other winners included 200 medley relay (Kramer, McClaren, Khatua, Magee), Sam Magee (50 free), Nick Chaves (100 free), Nick Avtges (100 breastroke) and the 200 freestyle relay of Chaves, Avtges, Thorson, and Khutua. Best times were done by Nick Bellas, Sam Szumita, Sam Magee, Shayak Khutua, Nick Chaves, Chris White, James McClaren, and Derrick McGillis.
The BR girls swim team defeated Pope John Paul on Thursday night, 1/5/17 by a score of 107-74. Leading the way for the Trojans was junior captain Hannah Kramer who won all her events. Other winners included, senior captain Krystina Goroshko (200 free), Katie Collins (50 free), Sarah Johnson (diving), and Dwyn McNeil (100 backstroke). The 200 & 400 free relays of Kramer, McNeil, Shannon George, and Katelyn O’Reilly also placed first. Best times were done by Lauren Dion, Kara Hanafin, Josselyn Donahue, Grace Mussari, Victoria Selser, Dwyn McNeil, Bianca & Alexis Porazzo. The girls are now 3-0 on the season.
First place finishers: Nathan Kramer 200 IM, 100 fly. James McClaren 200 free, 100 back, Sam Magee 50 free, 100 free. Derrick McGillis 500 free, Nick Chaves 100 breast. The boys 200 medley relay of Nathan Kramer, Nick Avtges, Shayak Khutua, and Sam Magee qualified for South Sectionals.Girls won 84-53

Best times were done by: Liz Gummow, Sophia Mancusi, Shannon George, Sarah Johnson, Lauren Turner and Jessica Slavin.

Meet vs. ORR – The boys beat Old Rochester Regional 84-44 winning every event except one bringing their record to 3-1. Winners for the Trojans were captain Nathan Kramer (200 free & 100 fly), Zach Souza (50 free & 100 breast), Tim Souza (100 free & 100 back), Kyle Kennedy (diving), John Niles (500 free) and the 400 free relay of William Johnson, Shayak Khutua, Sam Szumita, and Nick Chaves.
