2017 Season Recap
Updates provided to FOBRA primarily by coaching staff of each team.

06/02/17:  The Trojans lost a tough fought game against the #1 ranked team Silver Lake ( 7-6 ). B-R went ahead 3-0 in the top of the 3rd, S-L responded with 6 runs in the bottom of the inning. The Trojans added another run in the 5th. Down 6-4 in the top of the 7th, Lexi Silva homered deep to left field with Cece Barron ( singled ) on base to tie the game at 6-6. Silver Lake scored an unearned run in the bottom of the inning after an infield miscue and error for the win. The offense was led by Barron ( 2 hits, run ), Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits, 3 RBIs ), Summer Sheerin ( 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 SB ) and Silva who also singled. Kylee Piche made 2 outstanding catches in center field. Barron ( 3 PO, 2 assts. ), Sheerin ( 2 PO, 1 asst. ), and  Rideout ( 1 PO, 2 asst.) shined on defense. Julia Ferry pitched the loss , but battled throughout the game against a tough offense, ( 6.1 IP, 2 Ks, 4 BB ( 2 intentional ), 10 hits, 6 ER ). Season overall record ( 13-8 ).

06/01/17:  B-R defeated Duxbury ( 7-2 ) in the first game of the tournament. The offense pounded out 14 hits led by Summer Sheerin ( 2 singles, double, 3 runs, 1 SB ) and Lexi Silva ( 3 hits, 4 RBIs ). Emily Newcomb ( 2 hits, 1 SB, 2 RBIs ), Cece Barron ( 2 hits, run, RBI ), Hannah Rideout ( double, single run ), and Jill Johnson  ( double, single, run, 2 SB ) contributed at the plate. Lindsey Shearstone pitched a superb complete game for the win, ( 3  Ks, no walks, 5 hits, 1 ER ) in her 7 innings of work. The defense was led by Barron who had 6 putouts and 2 assists at second base, Hannah Rideout recorded 5 assists at third base, and Sheerin had 2 putouts and 2 assists at shortstop.

05/25/17:  The Trojans defeated Marshfield ( 2-1 ) in their final regular season game. Trailing ( 1-0) going into the bottom of the 7th inning, B-R scored 2 runs for the win. Kylee Pichee singled with 1 out, CeCe Barron sac bunted with an errant throw, putting runners at 2nd and third. Summer Sheerin singled scoring Piche for the tying run. With runners at 1st and third, Lexi Silva hit a sacrifice fly to center field, Barron  tagged up and scored the winning run. Julia Ferry pitched a complete game to pick up the win in a strong performance on the mound. She had 3 strikeouts, no walks, scattered 6 hits, and allowed 1 earned run. Defenses and Pitching on both sides was solid throughout the game. Sheerin ( 5 assts., 1 PO ) made several fine plays at shortstop to the lead the defense. Hannah Crandall recorded 10 putouts at 1st base and Hannah Rideout had 4 assists at 3rd base. Piche had 3 hits and both Sheerin and Silva had 2 hits apiece in the win. The regular season overall record is ( 12-7 ) and in the OCL ( 3-1 ). Their next action will be in the post season tournament.

05/23/17:  B-R defeated New Bedford ( 18-1 ) 5 inn. in a non league game. The Trojans pounded out 24 hits in the victory, in  which the entire team contributed.  Offensive leaders were Hannah Rideout (  3 singles, double, 3 runs, RBI ), Kylee Piche ( 3 singles, double, 2 runs, 2 RBIs, 2 SB ), Lexi Silva ( Home run,  2 singles, run, RBI ), Summer Sheerin ( double, 2 singles, 2 runs, 2 RBIs ),  Julia Ferry ( double, single, 3 RBIs ), and Skylar Rabouin ( triple, single, 2 runs, 2 RBIs ). Ferry ( 3 IP, 2 walks, 2 hits, 1 ER, 4 Ks) pitched the win. Lindsey Shearstone ( 1 K, no hits, no walks) pitched the final 2innings. The defense shined, playing error less ball.

05/19:    The Trojans lost to Durfee ( 5-4 ) in non league action. With 2 outs in the the top of the 3rd inning, 2 fielding errors allowed  the Hilltoppers to score 4 unearned runs to take the lead. B-R responded in the bottom of the 3rd with 3 runs to tie the game. Durfee scored a run in the top of the 6th which remained for the win. Their defense made a couple of fine plays to end a Trojan’s comeback in the bottom of the 7th. Julia Ferry pitched a superb game despite picking up the loss. She had 11 strikeouts, 1 walk, 5 hits, and 1 ER in her complete game performance.  The offensive leaders were Kylee Piche ( 2 hits, 1 run ), Jill Johnson ( 2 hits, run, RBI, SB  ), Lexi Silva ( double, single ),  and Summer Sheerin (  2hits, 2 SB ). Josselyn Donahue made a couple nice plays at first base.

05/15/17:  The Trojans defeated Brockton ( 13-2 ) in non league action. Lindsey Shearstone pitched the complete game victory, allowing 3 hits, 1 walk,and 1 earned run in her 7 innings of work. Hannah Rideout singled, doubled, homered, scored 3 runs, and had 2 RBIs to lead the offense. Also Josselyn Donahue had 2 doubles, scored twice, and had 4 RBIs in the win. CeCe Barron and Emily Newcomb chipped in with 2 hits apiece. Julia Ferry had an RBI triple.

05/12:   B-R was defeated by Franklin ( 8-2 ) in a non league game. Franklin scored 3 unearned runs in the 1st inning to take an early lead and carried that momentum throughout the game. The Trojans committed 6 errors  resulting in 5 unearned runs. The offense had scoring opportunities in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th innings, but managed to score only twice. Hannah Rideout had an RBI triple in the 3rd inning and 2 singles to lead the offense. CeCe Barron ( 2hits ) and Summer Sheerin ( 2hits,  run ) also chipped in on offense. Julia Ferry ( 3.1 IP, 2 Ks, 3 walks, 6 hits, 3 ER ) recorded the loss. Sheerin ( 3 PO, 4 assts. ), Barron ( 3 assts. ),  Kylee Piche ( 2 PO, 1 asst. ), and Autumn Jacques ( 8 PO ) led the defense.

05/11/17:  B-R lost to Dartmouth ( 5-2 ) in OCL league play. The Indians played error less ball and had a big 3 run homer to go ahead in the 3rd inning. Summer Sheerin had an RBI triple and made several fine plays ( 4 PO, 2 assts. ) at shortstop to lead the Trojans. The offense only produced 4 hits in the defeat. Julia Ferry ( 4 IP, 6 Ks, 2 walks, 6 hits, 4 ER ) picked up loss on the mound.

05/03/17   The Trojans lost to Silver Lake (5-4 ) in a non league game. Tied ( 4-4 ) the Lakers scored the winning run in the bottom of the 7th. Lexi Silva blasted a 3 run homerun in the top of the 3rd inning to take the lead. Silver Lake responded in the bottom of the inning with a 3 run homerun ( runs unearned ) to tie the game. Silva also had a double. Kylee Pichee and CeCe Barron  had 2 hits apiece. Summer Sheerin (  3 PO, 3 assts. ) ,Barron ( 3 PO, 2 assts. ), and Piche ( 3 PO ) shined on defense. Julia Ferry ( 6.1 innings, 2 Ks, 1 walk, 9 hits, 2 ER ) picked up the loss,  but had a good performance against a strong offensive team. Our overall record stands at ( 8-4 ) and the OCL at ( 2-0).

 

05/08/17:  The Trojans defeated Barnstable ( 8-3 ) in league action. With the win, they captured a share of the OCL title and qualified for tournament play.  Lindsey Shearstone pitched a solid complete game for her 6th win of the season ( 6 Ks, 6 hits, no walks, 2 ER ). Offensive leaders were Kylee Piche ( 3hits, 2 SB, run, RBI ), Summer Sheerin ( single, double, SB, run, 3 RBIs ), and Lexi Silva ( single, double, RBI, run ).

05/01:   The lady Trojans defeated #1 ranked Feehan ( 8-7 ) in a dramatic comeback. In the bottom of the 7th inning trailing ( 7-6 ), Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits ) led off with a double to centerfield, followed by a single to right by Summer Sheerin. With runners at first and third with 2 outs, Jill Johnson drove in Rideout with an infield single to tie the game. Kylee Piche followed with a single to right, scoring Sheerin for the game winner. The offense produced  13 hits in the win. Johnson had 4 hits, scored 3 runs, stole 2 bases, and had an RBI to lead the offense. Lexi Silva ( 2 hits, RBI ), Josselyn Donahue ( 2 hits, run, RBI ),  and CeCe Barron (  hit, 2 RBIs ) also shined at the plate. Rideout ( 4 PO, 2 assists ) and Donahue ( 7 PO ) made a couple of fine plays on line drivesin the infield. Julia Ferry pitched a complete game for her 4th  win of the season (  7 IP, 10 hits, 1 walk, 2 Ks, 5 ER ).

4/28:    B-R defeated New Bedford  ( 19-0, 5 innings ) in non league action. Lindsey Shearstone pitched the complete game shutout. She limited the Whalers to only 2 hits, struckout 3 and allowed no walks. It was another total team performance on offense ( 12 hits ), defense ( no errors, 15 PO ), and pitching. Leading the offense was Summer Sheerin ( single, triple, 3 runs, 4 RBIs  ), Lexi Silva ( double, single, 3 RBIs ), Kylee Piche ( 2 hits, run, RBI ), and Emily Newcomb ( 2 hits, 3 runs, RBI ). The Trojans face 3 unbeaten top ranked teams ( Feehan, Silver Lake, and Marshfield ) in the upcoming week.

4/27 – B-R defeated Brockton ( 14-0 ) 5 innings in a non league game at home. Julia Ferry pitched a perfect game with 5 strikeouts, no walks, and no hits in her exceptional performance on the mound. Shortstop  Summer Sheerin tripled, doubled, scored 2 runs, and had 4 RBIs to lead the offense.  Kylee Piche ( 2 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBIs ), Lexi Silva ( single,double, 2 RBIs ), and Josselyn Donahue  ( 2 hits, run, RBI ) also produced at the plate.  The defense  was solid ( no errors ) in preserving the perfect game.

4/24 :  The lady Trojans defeated Durfee  ( 3-1 ) in non league action. Tied ( 1-1 ), B-R  scored twice in the top of the 9th inning for the win. Lexi Silva homered deep to right field in the  second inning and doubled in the fourth. Jill Johnson  ( 3 hits, 1 run, 3 SB ), Kylee Piche ( 2 hits, SB ),  and CeCe Barron ( 2 hits, 1 run ) provided most of the offense. Julia Ferry had a great performance on the mound pitching the entire game facing 37 batters. She had  8 strikeouts, walked 2, scattered 5 hits, and the lone run was unearned . The defense  made several fine plays in the infield led by Summer Sheerin ( 3 PO, 3 asst),  Barron ( 2 PO, 2 asst ),  and Silva ( 9 PO, 2 asst ).  Piche had 3 PO in the outfield.  Our present overall record is  5 wins and 3 losses.

04/19,  The Trojans lost to Marshfield ( 4-2 ) in non league action.  Marshfield scored 4 unearned runs in the 1st inning which held up for their win. Our offense was sluggish managing only 8 scattered hits led by CeCe Barron ( 2hits ), Kylee Piche ( 2 hits, run ),  and Emily Newcomb ( single, double, RBI ).  Recording the loss on the mound was Lindsey Shearstone ( 4 inn., 2 Ks, 1 walk, 4 hits ).

04/17, B-R lost to Silver Lake ( 11-6 ) in 8 innings of play. The trojans battled back after trailing in the 4th, 5th, and 7th inning to keep the game tied. In the bottom of the 7th trailing by 2 runs, Lexi Silva singled, CeCe Barron had an IF hit, and both scored on a double to left by Josselyn Donahue ( 2 hits, 3 RBIs )  to tie the game with 1 out. Summer Sheerin singled and  Kylee Piche moved the runners with a sacrifce. With the winning run at third, Julia Ferry hit a line shot to Centerfield which was caught to end the threat. The lakers plated 5 runs in the 8th for the win. The trojan’s defense played solid making 24 putouts. Other leaders on the offense was CeCe Barron ( 3hits, 3 runs ),  Summer Sheerin ( 2hits, run, RBI ), and Piche ( double, single, RBI ). Julia Ferry recorded the loss on the mound (  4 innings, 2 walks, 10 hits, 7 ER ), Lindsey Shearstone worked in relief ( 4 innings, 10 hits, 4 ER ).

04/22  Franklin scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to defeat B-R ( 3-2 ) in a non league game. Leading the offense was Josselyn Donahue who tripled, singled, and scored a win. The defense played solid despite the poor field conditions. Lindsey Shearstone ,in relief, picked up the loss ( 1 1/3 inning, 1K, 1 walk, 1 hit, 1 ER ). Julia Ferry ( 5 innings, 4 walks, 4 hits, 1 ER ) had a no decision in her start.

4/13 – Varsity softball defeated  Barnstable ( 13-3 ) in OCL action.  The offense pounded out 20 hits in the win, led by Jill Johnson (single, 2doubles, 2runs, 5 RBIs), Emily Newcomb  ( triple,2 singles, 2 runs, 1 RBI ),Kylee Piche ( 3 hits,3 runs, ) and Lexi Silva who homered. Newcomb made 2 fine catches in right field.Lindsey Shearstone pitched a complete game for the win (  9 strikeouts, 1 walk, 3 hits, 0 ER ).

4/10 – The lady Trojans defeated Dartmouth  ( 3-2 ) in a hard fought 10 inning game. Both team’s defense and pitching were  great throughout the game in the OCL matchup. Summer Sheerin ( 2 hits ) singled in  Maddie Schwartz with the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. Winning pitcher Julia Ferry went the distance  facing 42 batters,  striking out 3, walking 1, scattering 8 hits, and allowing 1 ER, picking up her 1st varsity win.  The defense was led by Josselyn Donahue ( 16 PO ),  Ferry ( 2 PO, 5 asst. ), Sheerin ( 1 PO, 5 asst ), and  CeCe Barron ( 3 PO, 2 asst. ). Outfielders Kylee Piche ( 3 PO ),  and both Emily Newcomb and Jill Johnson made fine catches. Lexi Silva ( 2 hits, 2 RBIs ),  and Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits) led the offense.

4/8 – The varsity softball team swept a doubleheader against Auburn by scores of ( 8-4 and 13-0 ). In the first game Josselyn Donahue  ( 2 hits ) hit a 3 run double in the 5th inning  for the go ahead runs with the game tied 4-4. Lindsey Shearstone picked up the win in relief ( 2 2/3 inn, 1 K, 2 hits, 0 runs ).  Jill Johnson made two great catches in left field. The defense turned a nice 9-4-6-5 relay out at third base. Lexi Silva ( 3 hits , RBI ),  Hannah Rideout ( double, single, 2 runs, RBI ), and Summer Sheerin ( 2 hits, 2 runs, RBI ) led the offense.

Lindsey Shearstone pitched a complete game shutout in the second game ( 7 inn., 6 Ks, 5 hits, 1 BB ). Hannah Rideout blasted 2 home runs, doubled, scored 3 runs, and had 7 RBIs. Lexi Silva ( 3hits, 2 runs ), Jill Johnson ( 2 hits, 2 runs, RBI ), and Summer Sheerin ( 2hits, run, RBI ) led the offense.

6/6/16  B-R defeated Plymouth North ( 9-0 ) in first round play in tourney. Natalie Sorrenti  ( 7 Ks, no walks, ) pitched a 2 hit shutout. The offense was led by Stephanie Cavallaro who homered, doubled and had 4 RBIs. Hannah Rideout had a 3 RBI double and Lexi Silva had an RBI double in the win.
5/23 – 5/23/16, The Trojans lost to #1 ranked Silver Lake ( 2-1 ). Ally Murphy homered in the second inning to take the lead ( 1-0 ) into the 5th inning when the Lakers scored twice to take the lead. In the top of the 7th, Stephanie Cavallaro, led off with a single to right field followed by a bunt hit by Michaela Colleran to put runners at first and second. Murphy attempted to advance the runners with a bunt which went to the pitcher who forced Cavallaro out at third. A groundout and fly out ended the game. Natalie Sorrenti picked up the loss ( 6IP, 9 hits, 1 walk, 2 Ks, 2 ER ). Defense played errorless ball led by Nicole McSweeney ( 4 PO ), Hannah Rideout ( 2 PO, 2 asst ), Lexi Silva ( 2 PO, 2 asst ), and Cavallaro ( 4 PO ).

5/21 – Trojans defeated Marshfield  ( 16-1 ) in a  non league game. B-R pounded out 21 hits in the win. Leading the hit parade was Ally Murphy who doubled, singled 3 times, scored once, and finished the day with 5 RBIs,   Cierra Sheerin  doubled, tripled, singled twice, scored 3 times, with  2 RBIs and  Taylor Poulin  doubled,  singled 3 times, and scored 2 runs.  Natalie Sorrenti shut down Marshfield’s offense with a 3 hitter, striking out 4, walking 1, and giving up 1 run in her complete game win.

Going into the final week of the regular season, the Lady Trojans overall record is  ( 15-2 ) and ( 4-0 ) in the OCL.

5/20 – Trojans lost to Franklin  ( 3-2 ) in non league action. A 3 run homer in the first inning by Franklin was the difference.  Natalie Sorrenti  ( 6 IP, 3 hits, no walks, 2 Ks, 2 ER ) cruised the rest of the game retiring 15 out of 16 batters. The offense was Stacey Korotsky ( 2hits, 2 runs,  SB ) and  Nicole McSweeney ( hit, double,  RBI, SB ) . Stephanie Cavallaro ( 9 PO ), and Hannah Rideout ( 2 PO, 3 asst. ) played well on defense.
5/19 – The Trojans defeated Barnstable ( 8-0 ) on Senior Day to go undefeated in the OCL ( 4-0 ). Natalie Sorrenti and Stacey Korotsky combined to pitch the shutout. Sorrenti ( 6 inn, 6 Ks, no walks, 3 hits ) picked up her 14th win. Korotsky ( 1 inn, 1 K, no hits, no walks ) finished the game. Nicole McSweeney ( 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 SB ) ,  Cierra Sheerin ( 2hits, 1 run, 2 RBIs ), and Brittany Polk ( double, SF,  run, RBI ) led the offense.  Polk ( 3 PO, 1 asst and Ally Murphy ( 1 PO, 2 asst )  led the defense. The  Seniors celebrated  on their last regular season home game were  Stacey Korotsky, Stephanie Cavallaro, Carlyn Mason, Brittany Polk, Natalie Sorrenti, Ally Murphy, Taylor Poulin, Michaela Colleran, Cierra Sheerin, and Nicole McSweeney.
5/17 – The Trojans defeated Marshfield ( 9-0 ). Homeruns by Lexi Silva ( 3 hits, 3 runs, 3 RBIs ) and Cierra Sheerin ( 3 hits, 1 run, 3 RBIs ) provided most of the run production in the win. Michaela Colleran ( RBI triple ) and Stephanie Cavallaro ( RBI double ) also chipped in. Natalie Sorrenti pitched another fine game scattering 5 hits, with 8 Ks, and 1 walk in her shutout performance. Defense played errorless ball, led by Cavallaro ( 10 PO ), Silva ( 2 asst, 1 PO ), and Colleran ( 10 PO ).

5/14 – The Trojans defeated Brockton ( 14-0 ). Natalie Sorrenti threw a 1 hit shutout in her 5 innings of work with 5 Ks and no walks. Lexi Silva had 4 hits with 2 doubles and 5 RBIs to spark the offense. Michaela Colleran ( 3hits, 3 RBIs ), Ally Murphy ( 3hits, 2 runs, 3 RBIs ), Stephanie Cavallaro ( 3 hits, 3runs, 1 RBI ), and Stacey Korotsky ( 3 hits, 3 runs ) also produced on offense.

5/12 – B-R defeated Dartmouth ( 15-8 ). With the win,  the Trojans  won the OCL title and improved to ( 11-1 ). Ally Murphy sparked the offense going 2 for 3 with a grand slam, double and 7 RBIs.  Homeruns were also hit by Michaela Colleran ( 2 RBIs, 4 walks ) and Hannah Rideout ( 2 RBIs ). Stacey Korotsky ( 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 SB ) and  Stephanie Cavallaro  ( 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 RBIs, SB ) also had a big day at the plate. Natalie Sorrenti  pitched the win (  7 Ks, 1 walk, 11 hits, 6 ER ).  Murphy ( 4 assists ), Cavallaro ( 5 PO, 1 asst ),  and Lexi Silva ( 3 PO ) played solid on defense.
5/10 — The Trojans qualified for post season play after defeating D-Y ( 8-1 ). The offense was led by Ally Murphy ( 2 hits, 2 RBIs, run ), Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits, 2 RBIs, run ), Lexi Silva ( 2 RBI double ), and Nicole McSweeney  ( 2 hits, run, 2 SB ). Natalie Sorrenti picked up her 10th win (  6 Ks, 7 hits, walk, 1 ER ) complete game.
5/9 – B-R defeated New Bedford ( 15-3 ) in non league action. The Trojans offense had 17 hits in the victory.  Natalie Sorrenti  ( 6 IP, 3 runs, 7 hits, 1 walk, 2 Ks ) notched her 9th win of the season. Leading the offense was Stacey Korotsky ( 2 singles, double, 2 runs, SB, 3 RBIs ),  Stephanie Cavallaro ( HR, run, 3 RBIs ),  Hannah Rideout ( double, 2 RBIs )  , and  Lexi Silva (  2 RBI double ).  Chipping in with 2 hits each was Taylor Poulin, Cierra Sheerin,  Ally Murphy,  and Michaela Colleran.  The defense was sparked by Cavallaro ( 11 PO ), and Murphy ( 1 PO, 3 assists ).
The lady Trojans defeated Brockton  ( 12-0 ) on 5/6. Natalie Sorrenti tossed a 4 hit shutout with 10 strikeouts and no walks. Ally Murphy homered, singled, and had 4 RBIs to lead the offense. Stephanie Cavallaro ( double, single, 3 runs, 3 RBIs ),  Nicole McSweeney ( 3 hits, 1 run ), Stacey Korotsky ( 2 hits, 3 runs, 2 SB ),  Lexi Silva ( 2hits,  run,  RBI ),  and Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits, run, RBI ) also shined at the plate.  Defense played errorless ball.
The Trojans defeated New Bedford on 4/30  ( 8-0 ). Natalie Sorrenti ( 5 Ks, no walks, 3 hits ) picked up her 4th shut out of the season. The offense pounded out 17 hits in the win. Leading the offense was Nicole McSweeney ( 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 SB), Taylor Poulin ( 3hits ), Michaela  Colleran  ( homerun, single, 3 RBIs ),  Hannah Rideout ( double, single, run, RBI ),  Stacey Korotsky ( 2 hits, run, SB ),  Lexi Silva ( double, single, RBI ), and Stephanie Cavallaro Cavallaro ( 2 RBI triple ). Korotsky threw out a runner at third base from centerfield  in the 6th inning and a Silva-Rideout-Cavallaro double play ended  the game in the 7th inning to pace the defense.  B-R overall record  is ( 7-1 ), OCL ( 2-0 ).
B-R defeated Dennis Yarmouth on 4/28  ( 6-1 )  Natalie Sorrenti pitched the win  striking out 10, no walks, 2hits, and the  run was unearned  in her 7 innings of work. The offense was led by Lexi Silva ( 2 hits, 1 run ),  Michaela Colleran ( 2 hits ),  Ally Murphy ( RBI double ),  Hannah Rideout ( hit, 2 RBIs ) and Kylee Piche ( 3 runs, 2 SB ). Rideout was robbed of a homerun by the centerfielder making  a great catch over the fence in the 3rd inning.  Stacey Korotsky made a fine running catch in center and doubled off a runner at first base.
4/22- The Trojans defeated Weymouth ( 12-5 ) in non league action. B-R pounded out 15 hits in the win. Leading the offense was Michaela Colleran ( 2 doubles, 2 singles, 3 RBIs ),  Hannah Rideout ( 2 hits, 2 runs, 3 RBIs ),  Nicole McSweeney ( 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 SB ), Stacey Korotsky ( 2 hits, 1 run ), and Kylee Piche ( 3 runs, 2 SB ). Ally Murphy and Brittany Polk both had RBI doubles.   Natalie  Sorrenti picked up her 5th win in the circle ( 7 IP, 9 hits, 5 ER, 1 walk, 1 K ). Stephanie Cavallaro ( 6 PO,  1 asst. ) and Rideout ( 3 PO, 3 asst., 1 DP ) played well on defense.
4/20 – The lady Trojans defeated Franklin ( 2-0 ) in non league action.  Natalie Sorrenti pitched a  2 hit shutout with 4 Ks and 1 walk. Sorrenti recorded her 4th win and  3rd shutout of the early season. Stephanie Cavallaro and Cierra Sheerin had RBI doubles to spark the offense. Stacey Korotsky had 2 hits and scored a run. Cavallaro  ( 10 putouts ) made a leaping catch on a line drive in the 6th inning and doubled off a runner at 1st base to end the inning. Ally Murphy ( 4 assists, 1 PO ) and Lexi Siva ( 3 PO, 3 assists )  also shined on defense.
4/18 – The Trojans lost a non league matchup against Silver Lake ( 7-1 ). B-R went ahead in the bottom of the 2nd with one out,   Stephanie Cavallaro homered to right center. Lexi Silva followed with a double off the  left field fence, went to third on a pass ball, but was stranded on consecutive outs. The Silver Lake offense erupted in the top of the 4th inning, putting across 4 runs ( 4 hits, walk, on  2 errors ) to take the lead. The offense went silent the rest of the game, managing only 2 more hits. Silver Lake tacked on a run in the 5th  and 2 more in the 7th. Natalie Sorrenti pitched the loss ( 7 IP, 11 hits, 2 walks, 3 Ks, 5 ER ). Cavallaro ( 9 PO ) and Silva ( 3 PO, 6 assists ) shined on defense.
4/15 – In league action,  the Trojans defeated Barnstable ( 27-1 ). B-R pounded out 26 hits including  9 extra base hits. Leading the way was Stacey Korotsky ( 3hits, 4 runs, 2 RBIs ), Nicole McSweeney ( 3 hits, 2 runs, 1 RBI ), Cierra Sheerin ( 2 singles, double, 1 run, 4 RBIs ), Michaela Colleran ( 3 hits, 1 run, 4 RBIs ), Stephanie Cavallaro ( double, 2 singles, 1 run, 3 RBIs ), Brittany Polk ( triple, single, double, 4 runs, 3 RBIs ), and Hannah Rideout ( 2 triples, double , 3 runs, 1 RBI ).  Natalie Sorrenti picked up her third win of the season,  ( allowing only 2 hits, no walks, 9 Ks, 1 unearned run )  in her 5 innings of work in the circle.
4/13- B-R defeated Durfee ( 13-0 ) 5 inn. in non league action. Natalie Sorrenti tossed a complete game  No Hitter. Sorrenti dominated the strike zone in her 5 innings of work ( 7 strikeouts  and 1 walk ). The offense was led by Ally Murphy ( 2 doubles, single, run, 3 RBIs ), Brittany Polk ( double, 2 singles,  4 RBIs, 2 runs ),  Nicole McSweeney ( 2 hits, 2 runs ), Michaela Colleran ( 2 hits ),  Taylor Poulin ( 2hits, 1 run ), and Hannah Rideout ( 2 RBI triple ). Defense played errorless ball.
4/11 – The Trojans defeated Dartmouth ( 2-0 ) in their opener. Natalie Sorrenti pitched a gem of a game scattering 3 hits, striking out 9, and no walks en route to her shutout performance. Stephanie Cavallaro led  the offense  with a 2 RBI double in the 6th inning to secure the win. Nicole McSweeney  ( 2 hits, 1 run, 1 PO ),  Ally Murphy ( 1 hit, 4 assists )  and Cavallaro ( 6 putouts )  shined in the win.
