2016 Season Recap
Updates are provided to FOBRA by the coaching staff for each team.
11/1 – The JV girls closed out a very successful season with a 6-3 shootout win over visiting Austin Prep in a non-league tussle played in Bridgewater. The girls end the season on an 11 game unbeaten steak and finish with a 12-1-2 record. Cassidy Small led the offense with a pair of goals. Meghan Kelleher recorded a goal and an assist, while Michaela Peysere, Rebecca Kadis and Jordan James each notched a single tally. Kailee Smith, Sydney Meurling, Noelle Fernandes and Carly Burch recorded 1 assist each. Nora Loguidice manned the nets for the Trojans and recorded the win.

Wednesday 10/26/16 – The BR Freshman ladies in their last game of the season faced off with the ladies from Oliver Ames. As always it was a very competitive game where BR was tested for a full 70 minutes. In the end the BR ladies ended their season with a 4-1 win. Goals were scored by Allie Ringuette, Hannah Mahfouz, Mia Lane and Rosalie Daryanani (also 1 assist). The game was highlighted with an outstanding performance in goal by Juliana Nakouzi. BR finished up with an 9-1 recorded for the season.
10/25 – The JV girls ran their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-1 win over Dartmouth High in a league game played in Bridgewater. The girls now sport a 11-1-2 record. Noelle Fernandes scored both goals for the lady Trojans while Cece Barron and Kailee Smith each picked up an assist. Nora Loguidice picked up the win in goal as the girls close out their season with a home game against Austin Prep next week.
Saturday 10/22/16 – The BR freshman ladies faced West Bridgewater’s JV team on a rainy, cold day in Bridgewater. The ladies played well and came away with a 5-1 win. Goals were scored by Rosalie Daryanani, Allie Ringuette (2 Goals), Mia Lane and Sydney Caulfield. Victoria Quill and India De Miranda each added an assist.
Thursday 10/20/16 – The freshman ladies traveled to Brockton to take on the lady Boxers. BR came out on top with a 7-0 victory. Goals were scored by Emilia Berlandi, Allie Riguette (also had an assist), Victoria Quill (PK), Elia Velez(also had an assist), Emily Reed, Mia Lane and the prettiest goal of the season when Victoria Sellstone raced down the field and crossed the ball into the middle were India De Miranda headed the ball into the corner.
10/20 – The JV girls avenged their only loss of the season with a hard fought 2-1 win over the Brockton Boxers in a game played in Brockton. The win improves their record to 10-1-2. Keeper Nora Logiudice played her best game of the season as she was called upon to make many quality saves against a very scrappy Brockton team. Noelle Fernandes had a goal and an assist while Rachel Spear had a goal, to pace the offense. BR jumped out to a 2-0 lead, only to see Brockton cut the lead in half with 25 minutes left in the game. But the girls hung tough, played solid defense and held on for the win.
10/18 – Durfee High School hosted JV BR and BR was not a great guest as the girls defeated the Hilltoppers 8-0 to improve their record to 9-1-2. Cece Barron led the offense with 2 goals and an assist. Noelle Fernandes recorded 2 goals while Cassidy Small had a goal and an assist, as did Jordan James. Isabel Burke and Carly Burch also had single goals. Meghan Kelleher and Michaela Peysere each has an assist. Nora Logiudice had a quiet day in net to record the shutout.
10/11 – In a hard fought league tussle, the JV girls came away with a 1-0 win over Barnstable in a game played in Bridgewater. The lone goal came in the first half when a shot from the side of the penalty area by Kailee Smith deflected off a Barnstable player and found the back of the net. The defense made the goal standup the rest of the way. Nora Logiudice recorded the shutout. BR is now 7-1-2.
10/11 – BR freshman girls played OCL opponent Barnstable for the 2nd time this season. After a 3-0 win in the first meeting of the year, the girls came out and dismantled Barnstable with a 7-0 victory. Goal scorers were Hannah Mahfouz with 2, Allie Ringguette, Rosalie Daryanani, Victoria Sellstone, Emily Reed and India De Miranda (also with 2 assist). With this win the girls captured the OCL title for the freshman girls.
10/7 – The Freshman girls soccer team today faced the always tough opponent, Oliver Ames. After a strong start to go up 2-0 (Goals by Allie Ringuette and Rosalie Daryanani) the Oliver Ames girls fought back to even the game at 2. The BR girls fought hard and 10 minutes into the second half their efforts paid off with an 4 goal explosion. Allie Ringuette added 3 more goals and Emily Reed added 1. Hannah Mahfouz also tallied 2 assists.
10/6 – The JV girls hosted the Whalers of New Bedford posted a 9-0 victory to improve their record to 6-1-2 on the season. Cassidy Small led the offense with 3 goals while Meghan Kelleher knocked home 2. Cece Barron, Kailee Smith, Rachel Spear and Zelanna Bailey each recorded a goal in the win. Victoria Dacey had 2 assists, while Megan Donahue, Michaela Peysere and Carly Burch each chipped in with an assist. Nora Logiudice recorded the shutout in net.

10/4 – The girls traveled to Dartmouth for a league game and came away with a heartbreaking 1-1 tie. Their record is now 5-1-2. Victoria Dacey, with an assist from Cassidy Small, scored their only goal with 14 minutes left in the game. However, Dartmouth earned the tie with 1 second left in the game off a direct kick.
9/28 – The girls improved to 5-1-1 with a nice 3-1 win over East Bridgewater in a home game played at Cameron Stadium. Noelle Fernandes opened the scoring in the second half, and Cassidy Small knocked home 2 more in the next 4 minutes to extend the lead to 3-0. EB scored with 5 minutes left to make the final 3-1. Meghan Kelleher and Michaela Peyseres each notched an assist.
9/26 – Cassidy Small scored 3 goals and Victoria Dacey netted a pair as the girls defeated West Bridgewater 10-0 in a game played in West Bridgewater. The girls are now 4-1-1. Cameron Watson, Nora Logiudice, Cece Barron, Megan Donohue and Paige Madore also scored for BR. Cassidy, Jordan James, Noelle Fernandes and Zalanna Bailey recorded an assist each. Logiudice recorded the shutout in net.
9/22- The girls improved to 3-1-1 with an 8-0 victory over Durfee High School in a game played in Bridgewater. Cassidy Small led the attack with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Carly Burch, Cameron Watson, Sidney Meurling, Jordan James and Victoria Dacey each knocked home one goal. Michaela Peysere chipped in with 2 assists, while Victoria Dacey, Megan Donohue, CeCe Barron and Kailee Smith each recorded an assist. Nora Loguidice posted the shutout in goal.
9/20 – The girls took their second road trip to the cape on the young season and game back with an exciting 0-0 tie at the hands of Barnstable High School. it was the league opener for both teams. The best chance came in the final 10 minutes when Rachel Spear chipped over the Barnstable keeper, only to have the ball hit the post and harmlessly trickle out of play. The girls now have a 2-1-1 record on the season. Nora Loguidice recorded the shutout.
9/15 – The girls suffered their first loss of the season with a 2-1 setback at the hands of Brockton in a non-league game played in Bridgewater. The girls found themselves down 2-0 in the second half before Rachel Spear scored an unassisted goal in the 33rd minute of the first half. The girls chased a game tying goal the rest of the way, but the Brockton keeper made some outstanding saves to preserve the win for the Boxers. Nora Loguidice was the keeper for the Trojans and made 8 saves.
9/13 – The girls improved to 2-0 with a hard earned 1-0 win over Falmouth in a non-league game played on the cape. Carly Burch scored the game winner in the 22nd minute of the first half while keeper Nora Loguidice and the rest of the squad made the goal stand up the rest of the way.
9/8 – The girls opened the season with a 10-0 win over New Bedford in a non-league game played in New Bedford. Meghan Kelleher led the way with a hat trick, while Cassidy Small and CeCe Barron chipped in with a pair of goals and one assist.. Michaela Peysere, Cameron Watson and Noelle Fernandes scored solo tallies. Zalanna Bailey and Sydney Meurling each had two assists while Victoria Dacey and Carly Burch each had a single assist. Nora Loguidice recorded the shutout in goal.
