2017 Field Hockey Updates

Updates are provided to FOBRA primarily by the coaching staff of each team.

October 10th
The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team (6-1-2) tied conference rivals Barnstable 1-1. The only Trojans goal was scored by senior Emily Wilczewski assisted by Savannah Page.
Senior captains Katie Swart, Peyton Elliot, and Savannah Paige all played well on the offensive end. Senior goalie Haley Colon and senior Riley McDonough played well on the defensive end.

 

October 3rd

The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team (6-0-1) tied Dartmouth High School 2-2. Sophomore Coleen Campbell scored 1 goal and 1 assist and senior Emily Wilczewski scored 1 goal.
Senior goalie Hailey Colon had 7 saves in net.
The Trojans head to Barnstable Saturday for another league game at 2:30pm.

 

Sept 29th

The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team (6-0) finished the week with a big win over West Bridgewater 3-0.
Senior Emily Wilczewski scored two goals one assisted by senior captain Savannah Paige the other assisted by senior captain Katie Swart. Swart also scored a goal assisted by captain Peyton Elliot.
Senior goalie Hailey Colon had another shut out in net with 8 saves. Senior Riley McDonough and sophomore Kaitlyn Nasiff played well for the Trojans defense.

 

Sept 26th

The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team (5-0) beat New Bedford High School 2-1. Senior captain Katie Swart scored the first goal of the game assisted by senior captain Peyton Elliot. Sophomore Coleen Campbell smashed a shot from the top of the circle off a pass from Swart.
The Trojans head to West Bridgewater on Friday for the next game.

 

Sept 25th

The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team  (4-0) beat Falmouth High School 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by senior captain Katie Swart.
It was a hot day on the field and this win was an entire team effort. Senior captains Peyton Elliot and Savannah Paige worked hard in the midfield and controlled the ball most of the game.
Senior goalie Haley Colon had another shut out for the Trojans. Senior defenders Reilly McDonough, junior Emma Snelgrove, and sophomore Katelyn Nasiff all played well.
The Trojans will play tomorrow at home at 4 against New Bedford.

 

Sept 13th
The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team  (3-0) beat Bishop Feehan High School 3-1. Senior Emily Wilczewski scored 2 goals, 1 assisted by senior captain Katie Swart and sophomore Brooke Gallagher scored 1 goal.

The Trojans head to Barnstable Tuesday for the first conference game of the season.

 

Sept 11th
The Bridgewater Raynham field hockey team (2-0) beat Durfee High School 2-0. Senior captain Peyton Elliot had one goal assisted by captain  Savannah Paige. Junior Raegan Ferreira scored her first varsity goal, assisted by sophomore Coleen Campbell.

Senior Riley McDonough, junior Emma Snelgrove, and sophomore Kaitlyn Nasiff played well in the defensive end for the Trojans. Senior goalie Hailey Colon had another shut out in net.

The Trojans head to Bishop Feehan Thursday for a 3:45 game.

 

Sept 9th
The Bridgewater-Raynham field hockey team kicked off the season with a 6-0 win against Brockton High School.  The Trojans looked strong on the offensive end with 5 different players putting the ball in the net.

Senior captain Katie Swart (1 goal; 2 assist) got the offense going on a fast break and scoring 25 seconds into the game. Senior captain Savannah Paige (1 goal; 2 assist) then scored on an offensive corner with a pass from Swart.  Sophomore Brooke Gallagher played well in her first varsity appearance with 2 goals and Junior Raegan Ferreira and sophomore Coleen Campbell each had a goal.

The Trojans host Durfee High School on Monday at 4pm for their first home game of the season.
